Visiting the Upper Peninsula and Tahquamenon Falls during our last camping trip of the summer.

Dad took us all the way up into the UP to see these cool falls. It was a long drive but we ended up really enjoying the scenery and the exploring. We are planning another trip into the UP next year, perhaps for a week of camping. On the way home we found a couple of guys selling animal skins. We bought the boys a fox tail and a bobcat tail. It felt a little "redneck" but the boys love their skins :) Thanks Dad, this was a fun memory.

The boys were just playing around after seeing the upper falls. They love jumping and showing their super hero moves.

This was a day we spent on Lake Michigan during a camping trip in August of this year. Steve stayed home and I took the kids. Our friends, the King family, were camping with us. We had a great time enjoying beautiful Michigan.

Gabriel worked hard to climb that sand dune - sweet victory!
Nick, Lucas, Christopher and Christian don't spend much time playing in the water. Instead they climb the dunes and organize armies of kids and plan battle strategies, etc.

Happy Birthday Golfing

Christian wanted to go golfing for his birthday so Steve, Nick, Christian and I went. Nick tried to help Christian but he didn't really want any advice. He just wanted to tee it up and swing like crazy. We gave him some freedom here but the real lessons will be starting soon :)

Happy 6th Birthday Christian

We got Christian new golf clubs and a new yellow golf bag. He also got yellow balls because his favorite color is yellow.

Opening Nick's gift... Nick always takes time to pick out something special and package it. In this case he just knew he was giving Chistian what he REALLY wanted.
YEAH! HOT SAUCE PACKETS!!! Christian really did want these and he was super happy about them. He thanked Nick more than once for these packets of hot sauch.

It is good to support the small business owner

Christian brought me a piece of paper on Thursday and wanted me to write "Pencil Sharpening Business 1 cent". I didn't think much of it because I figured he wanted to charge us to sharpen pencils and he happily went on his way. A while later I walked by the front door and found his new business set up out front and he was patiently waiting for customers. He was lucky that our friend Cara came by to help him out. It encouraged him to head back out the next day :)

Me

My auntie Lorene asked me to post a picture of myself - I took this one last week. I am always the one taking pictures so I don't often end up in front of the camera.
THE CREATION MUSEUM - july

The Answers In Genesis Creation Museum opened in May so I was really excited to have the opportunity to visit with the kids on our through the area on our Tennessee trip to visit with Missy's parents. The Dalton's moved to TN a few years ago and we have really missed them. My kids, particularly Nicolas, have grown up calling them Grandma & Grandpa. For 7 years we spent holidays with them and many other special times. We were very excited to go see them. Our trip was incredible and we had the opportunity to do so many interesting things.

The Creation Museum was fantastic and we really enjoyed it.
