I had to help my friend Tammy with a project so Dad and the boys shared a fun day out on one of the first sunny days we've had this year.

A magnified water drop. EWWWWW! SO VERY GROSS!!! I'm kind of glad I didn't check this out!

The boys looking for animals in a Michigan forest.
Nick wanted a picture with this nasty thing... I HATE SLUGS! They are the grossest things on Earth! I can not believe what purpose they could possibly have in God's creation - so, so very gross!!!
Gabey liked this one.

This was the entrance to the Meijers Theater with all the instruments.

Michigan is called the Wolverine State. We don't have them roaming around the Lower Peninsula.
***Misty & Leigh, I'm pretty sure you'll get to see them because they'll be roaming around our campground when you two get here :D :D :D
These were in a generational exhibit. I still have this ET doll still but my little sister sort of destroyed it :(
An Egyptian mummy

This man moved to Michigan from another country. He was a "grease monkey", a shoe repairman and a furniture maker.
This is the lumber company.
Our city, in the early days. Grand Rapids is a beautiful, wonderful city - I've often wished I could just spend one day seeing what it was like back then. We have such gorgeous historic homes, I'd love to see them in all their glory. We only have one brick road left. It seems everyone likes the modernization but me. It makes me so sad to see these old buildings destroyed.
The boys were listening to a book being read about a human and a chicken and a cow and apples and a pig... (Matthew's description)
The boys checking out the vintage cars.
